Wonderbolt's “Tricksters” is a cosmopolitan, innovative blend of Newfoundland's comic and theatrical traditions combined with highly polished international circus arts and the dazzling artistry of Aboriginal dance and drumming. “Tricksters” is populated with ring jugglers, sparkling spinning plates, cart wheeling acrobats, unicyclists  and more, all captured inside our magical circus ring.

 "6 NEW AND EXCITING ACTS"

The show opens with a playful pre-show as the audience takes their seats.  The audience is introduced to a boy totally absorbed with his Rubiks Cube and follows him onstage into the world of circus tricksters and a journey of discovery.  Ringmastered by Beni Malone, a master clown with thirty years experience Wonderbolt's show features Tanya Burka, an internationally recognized aerial hoop artist, and world champion  hoop dancer Terrance Littletent from Saskatchewan, accompanied on drums and vocals by his brother Jason.

“Tricksters” is propelled by the original music of George Morgan and Bill Brennan, Wonderbolt’s two-man Cirquestra.  Collaborations with Jason Littletent allow us to create a seamless entrancing sound scape.  Innovative techniques such as black-light Aboriginal hoop dancing, and LED lit hula hooping and solo and group juggling, add to the fun and mystique of our show.  Three incredible aerial acts including silks and straps along with aerial hoop are woven into the show, along with a solo diabolo routine, an acrobatic group chari-vari number featuring Trixie our dancing Newfoundland dog and a fiery finale.

Accomplished clowning, incredible costumes, lights, and music all combine to create   an accessible, highly entertaining one ring circus that appeals to audiences of all ages. “Tricksters” is a high-spirited expression expression of circus arts and an evocative celebration of culture, community and physical joie de vivre.

...a mountain of inspiration, versatility and well-honed professional performance skills executed with panache.   Wonderbolt moves into a new and higher artistic dimension created by sophisticated music, lighting and choreography, by turn lyrical, whimsical or dramatic....Wonderbolt was always fun, but it was never before so beautiful."
