Bolt out of the Blue

Bolt out of the Blue: a touring performance in Cirque du Soleil style

Bolt Out of the Blue follows the wonder-filled journey of a bewildered business clown who is propelled by a mysterious app into the Golden Age of circus cabaret. There he meets a variety of memorable circus characters who change his outlook on life.

Directed by Wonderbolt’s Artistic Director, Beni Malone, Bolt Out of the Blue features circus artists from Finland and Canada who have starred in Cirque du Soleil. Joining these acrobats and aerialists, is Newfoundland’s own Kelly-Ann Evans and Wonderbolt’s live house band.

Wonderbolt Productions has been providing unique, original theatrical presentations to audiences in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada for more than twenty-five years. Wonderbolt was founded in 1981 when it toured Newfoundland by boat to all of the island’s most isolated communities.  Since then we have brought our style of circus theatre to audiences in St. John’s, throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada and internationally.

Beni Malone, the company’s artistic director, has trained in top-notch facilities around the world, from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Clown College in Venice, Florida to L’Ecole Nationale du Cirque in Paris, to Cirque du Soleil’s original training centre in Montreal.  He has pioneered touring to remote areas and is experienced in all aspects of creating and presenting live theatre.

Wonderbolt’s Bolt Out of the Blue is a fantastic show to bring the whole family.
